Bernard cribbing Doctor who or Wombles star died at the age of 93

Cribbins narrated the 1970s children's show The Wombles during a 7-decade profession.

In the 1966 movie, he also continued to play the Doctor's companion Tom Campbell.

In the revived Television show, the Daleks' invasion of Land 2150 AD returns 41 years later.

Cribbins brought back to the show as Wilfred Mott, Donna's grandad, did play by Catherine Tate.

From 2007 to 2010, he did play Wilfred.

Children for generations recognised the actor,

...who also portrayed station porter Albert Perks in the 1970 film The Railway Kids.

Russell T Davies, former Doctor Who showrunner, led the tributes, posting a photograph of himself on the set with the tag line:

"I consider myself extremely lucky to have known him. Thank you very much, my old soldier. A legend has past away."
