Working on 'Family Guy' is a Gift, Says Alex Borstein

Alex Borstein knows how lucky she is to be a part of “Family Guy.”

Borstein has voiced family matriarch Lois Griffin since the cartoon started.

“It’s a gift. It’s a freaking gift, And I’m never not aware of how lucky I am.” Borstein said.

The cartoon series launched in 1999, and Borstein received an Emmy award for voicing it.

“It makes me laugh. I love the people. You create these little families on these things that you work on.” She continued.

Before landing the role, the “Mad TV” alum was living in Barcelona with her kids, having kind of given up on show business.

Borstein also created the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, where she plays as Manager Susie Myerson.
