Elderly Woman Stole Jacket from Musée Picasso

A 72-year-elderly person took a coat that was showcased at the Musée Picasso in Paris.

The jacket was Catalan artist Oriol Vilanova’s artwork from his “Old Masters” series (2017-21). it was filled with postcards depicting artworks by major figures in art history.

Visitors were freely allowed to reach in and inspect the postcards, which displayed work made by prominent artists.

She took the coat back home with her and afterward visited a tailor to get it changed so it would fit her.

But nobody has expected that one visitor could take the liberty too far.

The 72-year-old woman took a blue work jacket, That was hanging on a wall home in late March.

After hearing the news, I was surprised, but it was impossible to envisage the story that followed,” Vilanova told Artnet News.

Her re-visitation of the historical center prompted the catch of the culprit.

The lady was caught on the CCTV footage where she was seen placing the jacket into her bag.
