Charles Oliveira to be deprived of the lightweight belt in the wake of falling to make weight for UFC 274.

Heading 2

Oliveira came at 155.5 pounds, a half-pound over the breaking point for a lightweight title battle.

Thus, the title is currently considered vacant-  and Saturday night, just his opponent, Justin Gaethje, is allowed to win the belt.

This would have been Oliveira's second title defense.

Oliveira first came to the scales with five minutes remaining in the initial weigh-in period.

He looked surprised as the commissioner shouted out the missed weight.

He was given an additional hour to cut the weight, but he missed it once again after returning.
